More on the Prize Package

The main prize is the Hinderer Knives Eklipse-Skinny Slicer. It is crafted with a hollow ground MagnaCut blade, a stonewash blue finish, a wormy chestnut wood scale, and brass hardware.

The RHK Hollow Grind is a way to improve the Slicer’s cutting abilities. The flat-ground slicer has always been thinner behind the edge compared to the brand’s Spearpoint and Spanto style blades, and this slight hollow improves the angles of the edge while maintaining its sectional density and overall toughness.

The Hinderer Knives Giveaway also includes a 6-inch Hinderer knife case, a navy Hinderer T-shirt, and a Hinderer Knives x Deneen Pottery commuter mug.

More on the Brand

Rick Hinderer began making art blades and later designing for other major knife brands before opening a shop of his own in 2005. He has used his real-world experience as a firefighter and EMT to inspire some of his tactical folding knives. Today, his knives have a reputation for everyday durability with an aesthetic that stays true to his artsy roots.

Rick Hinderer Knives are made at “The Ranch” in Shreve, Ohio. It is a state-of-the-art production facility with CNC mills, lathes, and grinders for a streamlined manufacturing process. The brand’s assemblers still cut the lock by hand, detent, assemble, and tune each Rick Hinderer Knife for a high-quality fit and performance.
